What is odds monitoring?
Odds monitoring tracks how Pinnacle's no-vig odds change for your pending bets between the time you placed them and the event start. It gives you a real-time view of whether the market is moving in your favour (positive CLV) or against you.
For example, if you bet on a team at 2.10 and the Pinnacle no-vig odds move from 2.05 to 1.95 by kickoff, the monitor shows that the market is confirming your bet was good value — you got better odds than the closing price.
This is available on paid plans (Pro, Elite, Max) with per-tier limits on how many bets you can monitor simultaneously.
How to enable monitoring for a bet
To monitor odds for a bet:
- Go to your Bet History or Dashboard
- Find a pending (unsettled) bet
- Click the three-dot menu on the bet row
- Select Monitor odds
The bet must be linked to a recognised event for monitoring to work. If your bet was matched to an event during entry (via event search or Quick Scan), it's eligible.
Once enabled, the monitor polls Pinnacle's odds at regular intervals and updates the live no-vig price shown on the bet.
Reading odds monitor data
When monitoring is active, your bet shows additional data:
- Current no-vig odds — the latest fair price from Pinnacle. Compare this against your bet odds to see your current edge.
- Live CLV% — the percentage difference between your odds and the current no-vig odds. Positive = you currently have value.
The odds will fluctuate as the market moves. What matters for final CLV is the closing odds — the last price just before the event starts. But watching the movement gives you confidence (or early warning) about your position.

You can receive Telegram notifications for your monitored bets:
- Threshold alerts — get notified when the no-vig odds cross a specific level (e.g., when your CLV turns negative or exceeds +5%)
- Pre-kickoff summary — a message 3 minutes before the event starts showing your final CLV position
To enable Telegram alerts, link your Telegram account in Settings and toggle alerts on for individual monitored bets or use the global "All alerts ON" toggle on the Odds Monitor page.
Quick no-vig price check
Even without full monitoring, you can do a one-time no-vig price (NVP) check for any pending bet:
- Click the three-dot menu on a pending bet
- Select Check current odds
- The current Pinnacle no-vig odds are fetched and displayed
NVP checks are available on all tiers (including free) with daily limits. This is a quick way to spot-check whether a bet you placed still has value, without committing to ongoing monitoring.
NVP checks also update all your other pending bets on the same event with the current no-vig odds, so one check can update multiple bets at once.
Using monitoring data to improve
Over time, odds monitoring data helps you answer key questions:
- Am I consistently beating the closing line? If most of your monitored bets show positive CLV at close, your bet selection process is working.
- How early am I catching value? If odds move significantly in your favour after you bet, you're identifying value before the market corrects.
- Which sports/markets show the most CLV? Combined with your analytics breakdown, you can see where your edge is strongest.
Think of odds monitoring as a real-time feedback loop for your betting strategy. It confirms or challenges your bet selection process while there's still time to act.
